Arthur E. Nathan
Arthur E. Nathan, CPA (NY), CITP, President and founder of Solution Strategists, is responsible for sales, marketing and long-range strategic planning, as well as SSI’s daily operations. Art has over 25 years experience in industry. From inception, he has focused on small to medium-sized businesses and became an authorized Sage MAS 90 reseller in 1987. His years of experience in industry formed his view of bringing value to every client through the highest business and ethical standards. Starting with two people, Art built Solution Strategists through his vision of becoming a nationally recognized leader in the business - being awarded "Technologist of the Month" by Accounting Technology Magazine and elevating Solution Strategists to being a "Technology Pacesetter in 2001 and 2002" (Accounting Today). Prior to starting SSI, Art worked in service and distribution-based companies, as well as serving as Firm Administrator for a large CPA firm. Art is an active member of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants and the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants and has served as a Director of the Union County Chapter. Art is a frequent speaker before CPA groups and business organizations on subjects involving technology and accounting software, and is often quoted in the business press. He is a member of the AICPA, a founding member of the Information Technology Alliance (ITA), and also serves on the Technology Advisory Group of the NJSCPA. Art is a member of Sage Software’s Business Partners Advisory Council (BPAC), providing input and recommendations for the future direction of the Sage MAS 90/200 product lines. Art is also active in his community and served as Treasurer of both the Suburban Symphony Society of New Jersey and of the Stuyvesant High School Alumni Association. Art received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Rutgers University and holds a Certified Public Accountant’s license from the State of New York. Joan Ann Nathan
Joan Ann Nathan is Firm Administrator and Secretary/Treasurer of Solution Strategists. Joan manages the firm’s daily administrative and financial functions, and is also responsible for SSI’s marketing and long-range strategic planning. Joan spent over 20 years in corporate America, with organizations such as McGraw-Hill, Rutgers University, The Chase Manhattan Bank and Red Devil Industries. During this time, Joan’s experiences handling administrative and financial matters were formed by some of America’s best-run organizations. It has been said of Joan, “Any firm that is going to be successful in service has got to have a Joan." Involved in community affairs, Joan volunteered her time as a para-professional on Dr. Norman Vincent Peale’s Crisis Intervention Help Line, and served on the Board of both The Suburban Symphony Society of New Jersey and the Cranford Village Improvement Association (VIA). Joan received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology with a minor in Psychology from Rutgers University. Robert P. Herman
Robert P. Herman, CPA, CITP, Vice President of Operations, is responsible for project management, consulting, implementation services and technical support. Before joining SSI, Bob was President of Innovative Technology Consultants, Inc. where he managed the entire consulting group; providing consulting services and accounting software implementation services to small and medium-sized businesses. Prior to Innovative Technology Consultants, he was a Partner in a regional CPA firm for over 15 years. Bob is an active member of the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants and served as President of the Passaic County Chapter. He is active in community affairs and currently serves as President of his Synagogue. Bob has a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from William Paterson University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Rutgers University. He also holds a Certified Public Accountant’s license from the State of New Jersey. |
